Rob Duncan BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI

Planning Consultant

Rob is an experienced and professionally accredited Planning Consultant, retained by HC Services to provide specialist advice and assistance on all aspects of the Town Planning system, including planning applications, appeals, site appraisals, lawful development certificates and more. Having gained a BSc(Hons) in Geography at the University of Plymouth in 2000, Rob went on to be awarded a Masters in Town Planning from Birmingham City University in 2003. He has been a corporate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2004 and has over 19 years’ experience in the planning sector. Having started his career in Local Authority, Rob has been practicing in the private sector under the guise of Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy Ltd. since 2011.

Rob has worked on a large variety of development projects, including large and small scale residential and industrial schemes, narrow boat marinas, barn conversions, renewable energy developments, retail schemes, prior notifications, changes of use and householder developments, and has achieved a high record of success. Rob offers a professional, considered approach to planning issues, with a focus on providing a quality service to clients.

Ruth Wright TechIOSH

CDM Consultant

Ruth joined Hewitt&Carr Services in 2019 as CDM Consultant, providing health and safety advice and guidance regarding the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 to Clients, both residential and commercial, and businesses working in the construction industry. She offers a ‘common sense’ approach to health and safety whilst always ensuring that all parties understand their obligations under the relevant regulations.

She has gained extensive knowledge of health and safety throughout her career working firstly within the retail property sector and then as a Facilities Manager for a global insurance industry, looking after the health, safety and wellbeing of over 1200 employees within offices, call centres and warehouses throughout the UK and Europe.

During this time, she has also led refurbishment and fit out projects for a 45,000 sq. ft call centre, the opening and closure of office locations and numerous office re-locations. Not only looking after the health and safety but overseeing the whole project ensuring all teams work together to deliver the end goal.

She gained her NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety in 2014.

Ruth is also a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) which is the Chartered body and leading membership organisation for safety and health professionals.
